We’ve hosted one of our BYOBBQ’s (Bring your own BBQ) in honour of Sarah’s brother Will, who was visiting France again from Canada, this time with his lovely fiancee Allison in tow. So the eight of us (Adam & I, Sarah & JL, Will & Allison, Kristy & Alessandro) plus wee Liam, enjoyed a lovely evening of music, grilling, and beaucoup wine!!!
Of course, Adam outdid himself (again) by grilling up an awesome leg of lamb — 3.3 kilos worth, which took 3 or 4 hours to cook (and which surprisingly only lasted us 2 days, although we were eating lamb for breakfast, lunch and dinner — and all snacking in between). Everyone brought their own meats (chicken and beef), and Kristy brought her infamous Tiramisu for dessert, Sarah & co brought a green salad, Adam made his ratatouille, and Deb whipped up her quinoa & feta salad so there plenty of side dishes to share. It was a feast!! (as usual!)
A great time was had by all… Adam skulked off around 1 am to go to bed, and the rest of us called it quits at about 2:30. A special thanks to Adam for taking all those empties down to the recycling bin!! I’m sure the neighbors think we’re alcoholics.
Come back next year Will! (especially if you bring more Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!)
