The good:  Saturday night was our annual Christmas Apero, chez Fergusons, and despite Deb having to work all day to try to reorganize her client’s flights because of the astounding cancellations due to snow in northern Europe — the party was a great success. Good friends, good food, mulled wine, and lots and lots of empty bottles at the end of the night. Thanks to everyone for coming.

The bad : Liam had been a bit difficult all day on Saturday, which we attributed to the fact that we were so distracted with work and preparing for the party that he didn’t get the attention he usually gets. But in the wee hours of the morning he had developed quite a fever, which came and went over the following 48 hours. Poor little monkey. Now the fever is gone, and he seems in good spirits, but is developing a rash on his face and torso, which we’ll be monitoring. Doc Linderoth is gone for Christmas Holidays, so hopefully he’ll be fine and it will go away on it’s own.

The sad : Very sad news that Liam’s great-grandmother Woolley passed away last night, while in the hospital following a massive heart attack.  She never got to meet him, but she’s seen loads of pictures and has received loads of updates on his first year.  We’re really happy that we got to see her when we visited Canada last year, and that she got to meet Adam. Our thoughts are going out to the Woolley clan, as I’m sure they’re grieving during what would normally be a happy holiday period.
