Every Sunday in May is the Fete du Mai (May Day) celebration up at Cimiez Park. It’s a traditional, family based festival up amongst the olive groves, by the Matisse Museum, Roman ruins and at the foot of a beautiful old 16th century monastery. We went for the first time last year, and met up with Lesley, Remy et all again this Sunday. The weather was great, and Liam had a grand time exploring. It’s a lovely Nicoise tradition, and we hope to get up there again before it’s finished for the season.
And our good friend, Sarah, came by for a visit this weekend, which was a Nice change of pace… and we all caught up on the terrace while daddy started to prepare the veg garden for the summer.
