Wet and grey weekend, so I may as well update Liam’s blog today. I don’t imagine we’ll be taking a whole lot of photos, as we’re not up to a whole lot (although we’ve had a few movies on today, and Liam was rocking out to Moulin Rouge… we’ve got some video of that).

Other than a quick trip to the local garden shop to buy a new pot and some more dirt to replant our oleander (which was blown over in the storm yesterday and broke) — we’ve been chilling out at home. But it has been a bit productive too… Daddy recaulked the bathtub, Mumma cleaned the oven… and daddy attempted to make chocolate oatmeal cookies — but that didn’t work out so well.

Anyway, Liam seems to be coming down with the sniffles, so it’s best to just lay low for the weekend. We’ve cancelled our lunch with friends tomorrow because the forecast is for more of the same, which won’t be so good for hanging out on the terrace drinking wine (parents) and playing in the sandbox (kids). Ah well, the season is just getting started!

Our only real news this past week is that we met with the principal of Liam’s school on Friday, and he is officially enrolled for September. I’m a bit apprehensive because it seems that I know a couple of other parents who are putting their kids in the other school around the corner… but our neighbour says that the one we chose (Rothschild) is better because it’s got a totally enclosed courtyard in the middle so it’s quieter for the kids at play. The other school is a pre-school only (for ages 3-6), but Rothschild is a full elementary school, so to Adam’s point, at least Liam won’t have to change schools in a few years.

Whatever. He still seems so young for school *sigh*. 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, with a 2 hour break for lunch. There is an open house at the beginning of July, where we can go and see his class, and meet his teacher. It’s all happening.

It’s going to be a crazy, busy week ahead as we’re moving into Grand Prix weekend, and several clients are in town, and there is a lot of work to be done. Coincidentally, it also happens to be mumma’s birthday, mothers day, and we’ve got friends passing through from Australia at the weekend. I’m exhausted just thinking about getting through the next couple of weeks.

Hopefully we’ll have time to snap some more pics!!
