Liam’s 4th birthday started with a 2 hour trip to Valberg, France, to the mountains behind Nice. The roads were pretty good as we had our first sunny day in a week so chains weren’t needed.
At Valberg the snow is deep, with massive icicles hanging from the eaves which Liam loves to have knocked down and play swordfights and well… eat.
We settled into our small but comfortable holiday apartment and woke up with Liam checking with Mum whether it was morning yet, and could he open his presents? ‘I’m so excited!’
He galloped through opening presents which was a blast, before a quick breakfast, affixing chains to the car so we could go out on the snowy roads and down to the Ski School.
Video of Liam’s first Ski is below!!
The afternoon was tobogganing, accompanied by a large playful dog and another family – tobogan races! and building a snowman. We went home for a late lunch, a play with Daddy, cake and a Skype with Grandpa Woolley.
Ce soir, we’ll have a Skype with Meg and Sarah and Ross – have a later dinner and pack a crashing boy off to bed!
A very fun birthday. Pics to come!!
